Eurowindow attended the Vietnamese Brand Forum in 2018

On the morning of April 20th, at the Vietnam National Convention Center (11 Le Hong Phong, Hanoi), Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency - Ministry of Industry and Trade has held the Vietnamese Brand Forum with the topic "Brands, Economic integration and sustainable export development ". This event is part of the Vietnamese Brand Week 2018, held to provide an opportunity for the companies and the managers to actively discuss and clarify the importance of building and protecting brands in the process of economic integration.

Delivering the opening speech at the forum, Mr. Vu Ba Phu - Director of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said that the Vietnam National Brand Program was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 253/2003 / QD-TTg dated November 25th 2003. This is the only program implemented by the Vietnamese Government to promote the national image, the national brands through the brands of goods and services.

After 10 years of implementation, the Vietnam National Brand Program has honored products and services with outstanding features and quality; successful in capturing the trust of a large number of consumers and was registered by Vietnamese companies for intellectual property protection... Thanks to the increasing brand recognition, the National Brand products have increased their capacity to compete.

At the present, there are more than 80 countries currently implementing the national brands building program to develop and market their brands to foreign markets. The strategy of competing via brand names is fiercely taking place and not just at the company level but at the regional, product type and even national level. As a result, the implementation of national brand construction program associated with business integration and export development of Vietnam is in line with the general trend.

At the forum, the survey results publicized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade illustrated that the percentage of Vietnamese companies interested in promoting their brands has increased significantly in recent time, from 46% in 2015 to 64, 5% in 2018. At the same time, the proportion of company registering for trademark protection has also increased from 19.5% to 29% respectively.

According to experts, from the Vietnam National Brand program, many Vietnamese brands have managed to build their trust in consumers, partners and some brands have even become highly regarded.

Being the only company operating in the field of glass doors and large glass-aluminum partition qualified for the title of National Brand for 6 consecutive years (from 2012 to 2016), at the forum, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trinh - Director of Foreign Business Division of Eurowindow has said about the fierce transformation of the company ever since winning this prestigious title.

"Ever since being acknowledged as a National Brand, Eurowindow brand has been affirming its reputation in the market. If in 2012, Eurowindow could only reach a turnover of more than 1,500 billion, then by 2017 it already overtook the milestone 3,200 billion and the target for 2018 is 4,500 billion. After 6 years of being acknowledged as a National Brand, Eurowindow's sales have tripled. This achievement is made possible only through the combination of the Vietnam National Brand Program and Eurowindow's own efforts.

To achieve the title of National Brand is a process of striving, proving itself, constantly improving product quality, innovating technology and continuously establishing itself the front runner of its own area… protect and preserve the brand. For Eurowindow, we also have also been pioneering research and registered our brands for protection in many markets around the world. We think that this is an important step when it comes to the "big sea", as it helps avoid collision or litigation with competitors.

Furthermore, Mr. Trinh also said that, in 2017, Eurowindow has officially opened a representative office and showroom in Myanmar, and shall proceed to build a factory, transfer production technology and start doing business in Myanmar as well as other countries in the region. Eurowindow's vision is to continue to affirm its position as the leading solution provider regarding doors in Vietnam, furthering the development of other finished construction materials and gradually reaching for the international level.

The representative of Eurowindow also expressed his wish to receive more positive support from the Vietnam National Brand Program so that the Company could successfully register its products for intellectual property protection and brand protection in many other countries over the world.

Meanwhile, in order to find the solution to the current problems in which many products are still being sold on the market without the brands of their respective production companies, causing damage, the experts said that the Vietnam National Brand Program must establish better connection between the companies dealing in the same type of product in order to create a good image for said product. This is a problem that must be solved in building brands in Vietnam.
